Activated nuts are germinated or sprouted nuts.
Activation is undertaken by soaking organic almonds in a solution of filtered water and Himalayan pink salt to neutralise the enzyme inhibitors. After this, the almonds are gently dehydrated at 115F to preserve the nutrients.
Activated almonds are lighter and have a crunchier texture than non-activated almonds.
